Issuing Supervisor – Warehouse Materials Management

About the role

The Issuing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily issuance of materials, tools, and supplies from the warehouse, ensuring accuracy, compliance with requisitions, and adherence to safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily issuing of items from the warehouse and verify quantities before dispatch.
• Coordinate and supervise issuing staff, assigning duties and monitoring performance.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, update issue logs, and prepare regular issuing and stock reports.
• Investigate discrepancies, shortages or excesses and report findings.
• Ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO) and that all issues are supported by authorized documents.
• Participate in stock counts, audits, and inventory reconciliation activities.
• Identify and implement improvements to issuing procedures and overall warehouse efficiency.
• Enforce safety procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment.

Required profile

• Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse and inventory management processes.
• Ability to lead, motivate and manage warehouse personnel.
• Excellent planning, organization and time‑management skills.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail and reliability.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of working under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using barcode scanners.
• Experience with inventory management systems.
