IT Officer – Systems and Development

About the role

The IT Officer (Systems and Development) will maintain WaterAid Ghana’s IT infrastructure and support the growing use of technology for programme delivery, data collection and organisational efficiency. You will work across the Accra and Tamale offices, providing both day‑to‑day support and strategic digital solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and maintain network environments for both Accra and Tamale offices.
• Manage and monitor Meraki firewall dashboards and Ubiquiti access points.
• Maintain internet links from multiple providers and monitor bandwidth usage.
• Configure and track all IP devices, including networked printers and hardware.
• Provide expert‑level support for Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Deliver help‑desk support for hardware and software issues on‑site and in the field.
• Oversee client‑side cloud applications, web‑based platforms, management information systems, HR and ICT development tools.

Required profile

• Experience maintaining IT infrastructure and supporting end‑users.
• Ability to manage network devices, firewalls and access points.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 suite and cloud‑based applications.
• Strong problem‑solving skills for hardware, software and connectivity issues.
