Junior / Mid-Level Architect

About the role

CAPEMAY Properties is looking for a dynamic Junior to Mid‑Level Architect to support its development and construction team in Accra. The role involves designing, planning and coordinating a variety of projects ranging from warehouses to residential apartments while ensuring compliance with Ghanaian building regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual designs, layouts and architectural presentations.
• Develop detailed construction drawings, including site plans, floor plans, elevations, sections and details.
• Assist with feasibility studies, space planning and design development.
• Coordinate with consultants, engineers, contractors and other stakeholders.
• Participate in the design and planning of industrial, commercial and residential projects, optimizing layouts for functionality and safety.
• Create interior design concepts, material schedules and 3D visualisations.
• Support MEPF coordination, reviewing layouts for clashes and ensuring seamless integration.
• Help with project planning, scheduling (Microsoft Project) and progress tracking.
• Conduct site inspections, verify construction against approved drawings and resolve technical issues.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology or a related field.
• 2–5 years of professional experience in architectural design.
• Experience with industrial, residential and commercial projects is preferred.
• Knowledge of Ghanaian building regulations and industry standards.
