About the role

Nexans Kabelmetal Ghana is seeking a Junior Production Operator to join its cable manufacturing plant in Tema. The position is essential for maintaining production continuity and achieving operational targets within the factory.

Key responsibilities

Operate assigned machines and equipment in compliance with Nexans standards and all applicable regulations.
Handle and store raw materials safely to prevent spillage, contamination, or fire hazards.
Maintain clean and organized work areas (5S) around machines and assigned zones.
Follow standard operating procedures to minimise scrap during coiling and packaging.
Execute autonomous maintenance and "OK to start" checks to identify machine issues early.
Complete OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) forms as required.

Required profile

Ability to work without direct supervision.
Minimum education: EET/MET Parts I, II & III.
1–2 years of shop‑floor experience in an industrial setting.
Age between 25 and 35 years.
Proficient in spoken and written English.
