Laboratory Technician – Tamale

About the role

As a Laboratory Technician at Shalina Diagnostics Ghana in Tamale, you will deliver analytical services that support patient care. You will work within the diagnostic laboratory, following standard operating procedures and safety guidelines to ensure accurate and timely test results.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests, providing coverage across diagnostic areas as needed.
• Execute technical work within acceptable turnaround times in line with Shalina Diagnostics SOPs.
• Document results and maintain accurate logs to uphold good laboratory practice.
• Maintain laboratory equipment to required standards and relevant legislation.
• Implement internal quality control measures for all technical procedures.
• Assist with research projects, evaluate new techniques, and participate in laboratory audits.

Required profile

• Diploma, certificate or degree in Medical Laboratory Science.
• At least 2.2 years of relevant laboratory experience.
• Good standing with the Allied Health Professionals Council (AHPC).
