Lead Estimator – Construction & Telecom Projects

About the role

MilleNext Group is looking for an experienced Lead Estimator to manage the estimating and bid development process for construction projects across the US and Africa. The role combines technical expertise in telecommunications and fiber‑optic construction with strong project leadership to deliver accurate, competitive cost proposals.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive cost estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors and indirect costs.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from drawings, specifications and contract documents.
• Analyze project plans, technical specifications and regulatory requirements to develop realistic budgets and schedules.
• Lead the full bid lifecycle from RFP review to final proposal submission, ensuring compliance and timely delivery.
• Review contract terms and identify commercial and operational risks.
• Solicit, evaluate and manage vendor and subcontractor quotations, maintaining strong relationships.

Required profile

• Proven experience in construction estimating, preferably in telecommunications or fiber‑optic projects.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical documents and geotechnical reports.
• Excellent organizational skills to maintain estimating documentation and historical cost data.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and support project execution teams.
