Legal Assistant (Pupil)

About the role

Our client is looking for a motivated Pupil/Legal Assistant to join and support its legal team. The successful candidate will contribute to legal research, drafting, and analytical work while maintaining high standards of confidentiality and professionalism.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day support to senior lawyers and the legal team.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research using specialised databases.
• Draft pleadings, contracts, memoranda and other legal documents.
• Analyse case law and regulatory material to assist in strategy development.
• Manage confidential information with strict attention to detail.
• Utilise Microsoft Office and legal research tools to organise and present findings.

Required profile

• LL.B. from a recognised university and admission to the Bar as a Barrister or Solicitor.
• Minimum two (2) years post‑Call experience in legal practice.
• Strong legal research, writing and analytical abilities.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• High level of integrity, professionalism and discretion.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis).
