Life Health Insurance Agent

About the role

StarLife Assurance Company Limited is seeking a full‑time, on‑site Life Health Insurance Agent to join its Kumasi office. You will work directly with prospective and existing clients, helping them understand and select appropriate life and health insurance solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect new clients and build a personal portfolio of life and health insurance customers.
• Conduct needs assessments, prepare quotations, and present coverage options.
• Guide clients through application, underwriting, and policy issuance processes.
• Manage policy renewals, perform regular client reviews, and adjust coverage as needed.
• Provide ongoing support, including claims assistance and policy inquiries.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure regulatory compliance and accurate documentation.
• Achieve individual and team sales targets while maintaining ethical standards.

Required profile

• Solid knowledge and practical experience in life and health insurance.
• Experience in insurance brokerage or Medicare plan advising.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and customer‑service skills.
• Understanding of Ghanaian insurance regulations and compliance requirements.
• Ability to work on‑site in Kumasi, manage time effectively, and handle multiple client cases.
• Minimum diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, Marketing, or related field; professional insurance certifications are a plus.
