Lubrication Technician – Process Plant

About the role

We are looking for an experienced, self‑motivated Lubrication Technician to join the Process Plant team at our Obuasi mining operation. The role focuses on routine and corrective lubrication of all process‑plant equipment, ensuring compliance with total fluid management and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and corrective lubrication tasks on process‑plant equipment, including draining, cleaning, filling, and topping off reservoirs.
• Change filters, breathers, and operate filtration equipment; maintain dispensing and automatic lubrication systems.
• Coordinate inventory of lubricants, order supplies, and manage stock locations.
• Conduct field‑level oil analysis (crackle, viscosity, demulsibility, blotter) and evaluate results for predictive maintenance.
• Update scheduling systems, generate work orders, and report discrepancies to the Reliability Engineer.
• Identify and propose cost‑reduction initiatives and improvement projects.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum five years’ experience in the mining industry, with at least two years in a process‑plant environment.
• Certificate of Competency issued by Mincom and familiarity with Ghana Minerals and Mining regulations.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly, both verbally and in writing.
