MAG Welder

About the role

The MAG Welder position is a full‑time, on‑site role in Accra, responsible for performing metal active gas welding on various components according to technical drawings and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare materials, set up welding equipment, and execute welds to specified quality standards.
• Inspect completed welds for accuracy, structural integrity, and correct any defects.
• Maintain welding equipment, identify defects, and keep the work area clean and organized.
• Document work performed and collaborate with supervisors on production priorities.

Required profile

• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, welding symbols, and job instructions.
• Experience in a manufacturing, construction, or industrial setting with a focus on safety and quality.
• Physical capability to stand for long periods, lift moderate weights, and work in typical workshop conditions.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MAG welding, including setting parameters and handling different metals.
• Knowledge of welding safety standards and proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Basic measuring, cutting, fitting, and material preparation skills.
