Medical Consultant

About the role

The Medical Consultant will provide comprehensive clinical care to patients within Fakeeh Health Care facilities, ensuring high‑quality, evidence‑based treatment and coordination of care across the patient journey.

Key responsibilities

• Perform clinical duties within assigned privileges, including thorough clinical, socioeconomic, psychological, and functional assessments.
• Develop, document, and implement evidence‑based care plans, and act as the Most Responsible Physician (MRP) for in‑patients under your name.
• Conduct daily inpatient assessments, create discharge plans on admission day, and coordinate with discharge‑planning services.
• Respond promptly to medical consultations, document interventions using SOAP format, and complete discharge summaries and patient education before discharge.
• Attend facility call schedules, departmental meetings, and contribute ideas for efficiency and patient satisfaction.
• Prepare medical reports, participate in teaching rounds, and educate patients and families about health conditions and preventive measures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, adhere to safety protocols, maintain confidentiality, and follow Fakeeh Care’s code of conduct.

• Clear communication skills with patients, families, physicians, and non‑medical staff.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Commitment to ongoing education and compliance with hospital policies.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft computer applications.
