Mining Construction Supervisor – On‑site Lead

About the role

The Mining Construction Supervisor will lead all on‑site construction activities for mining infrastructure in the Brong Ahafo Region. You will ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in full compliance with Ghanaian mining and construction regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily civil, structural, mechanical and electrical construction works on the mine site.
• Coordinate contractors, subcontractors and construction crews, managing resources and logistics.
• Enforce health, safety and environmental (HSE) standards, including Ghana’s Minerals and Mining Regulations.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and technical specifications to guide teams.
• Monitor project timelines, budgets and resource allocation, escalating risks promptly.
• Conduct regular site inspections for quality control and regulatory compliance.
• Liaise with engineers, geologists, procurement and mine management to align construction with operational needs.
• Maintain accurate site records, daily reports and documentation for audits.
• Lead toolbox talks and safety briefings, and manage equipment and material logistics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• 5–7 years of construction supervision experience, preferably in mining or heavy‑industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of Ghana’s mining and construction regulatory framework.
• Valid occupational health & safety certification (e.g., NEBOSH) is an advantage.
• Ability to work in remote, active mining environments and manage diverse teams.

Required skills

• Occupational health & safety best practices (NEBOSH or equivalent).
