National Director for World Vision Ghana

About the role

World Vision Ghana is seeking a visionary National Director to lead the country’s mission of improving the lives of vulnerable children. Reporting to the global partnership, you will be based in Accra and oversee the implementation of the FY26‑30 Operations Strategy across 18 area programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, adapt and execute the national strategy in alignment with Ghana government priorities and World Vision’s global vision.
• Provide strategic leadership to a senior leadership team and a staff of approximately 250 employees.
• Represent World Vision Ghana to government agencies, donors, partners and the broader WVI partnership.
• Ensure program quality and impact across health, nutrition, education, WASH, food security and livelihood interventions.
• Oversee financial management, budgeting and resource allocation to achieve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Foster a culture of child‑well‑being, accountability and Twin Citizenship principles.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of senior‑level experience in nonprofit, humanitarian or development sectors.
• Proven track record of leading large, multi‑disciplinary teams and complex programmes.
• Deep understanding of Ghana’s socio‑economic context and government structures.
• Strong strategic thinking, partnership building and stakeholder management skills.
