National Service Civil / Construction Engineer

About the role

A National Service (NSS) position is open in Alajo, Accra, for personnel with a background in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or Quantity Surveying. The successful candidate supports ongoing construction and project activities while gaining practical experience.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with construction and project supervision activities.
• Support site inspections and monitor ongoing works.
• Assist in taking measurements and preparing project documentation.
• Support quantity take-offs, material estimates and cost calculations where applicable.
• Assist in preparing reports and maintaining project records.
• Work with engineers, quantity surveyors, contractors and other project team members.
• Ensure assigned tasks are completed accurately and on time, and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• NSS personnel.
• Bachelor's degree or HND in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
• Basic knowledge of construction processes and project documentation.
• Good analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, willingness to learn and work on-site, and a hardworking, responsible and punctual attitude.
