About the role
The Operations Assistant plays a key part in keeping a meat processing plant running smoothly and in compliance. The role supports daily production while ensuring strict adherence to hygiene, safety and quality standards. It reports to the Operations Manager and helps maintain consistent output, minimise downtime and uphold food safety.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring and tracking production schedules so they are executed on time.
- Record production data accurately and report any variances or discrepancies promptly.
- Support quality control procedures to keep product integrity and compliance.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team to fix equipment issues and reduce production delays.
- Uphold and promote hygiene and safety standards across all operations.
- Take part in routine operational reviews and help with continuous improvement.
