Blending Operating Technician

About the role

Kasapreko PLC is looking for a Blending Operating Technician to work under the direct supervision of the Blending Supervisor. The role operates and maintains the Indag systems so that production demands in quantity and quality are met, and covers the operation of the in-line mixer and the preparation of sugar and acid syrup.

Key responsibilities

• Execute routine and planned maintenance schedules on the Indag systems and rectify and troubleshoot emerging problems.
• Document maintenance activities and ensure spare parts are in stock; seek approval from the Blending Manager/Supervisor before blending starts.
• Operate the in-line mixer and monitor sugar and acid syrup preparation and pasteurization into storage tanks.
• Maintain and check the calibration of blending equipment and ensure CIP steps are followed according to the agreed matrix.
• Check batch dosing volumes, monitor ingredient transfers to FS tanks, and analyze blends and syrups so parameters are within range before QA review.
• Record and label production returns, monitor FA tanks for product backup, receive concentrate and alcohol from suppliers via the Indag system, and supervise Blending Assistants.
• Ensure RO water is available, record meter readings, input data into SAP, provide technical assistance to production lines and carry out any assigned technical jobs.

Required profile

• HND or degree in Electrical Engineering.
• At least three years of relevant experience in food processing or bottling.
• Strong background in instrumentation and controls and ability to troubleshoot Siemens PLCs.
• Good understanding of SCADA systems.
• Effective communication, report writing and interpersonal skills, able to work independently and extra hours when needed.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of MS Office and Excel.
• Attention to detail, strong organization and adherence to safety and operating procedures.
