Operations & Production Manager – Furniture Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Operations & Production Manager to lead our furniture manufacturing facility in Spintex, Accra. The role will oversee daily production, warehouse operations, inventory control and drive efficiency across the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily production activities to ensure efficiency, quality and timely completion.
• Monitor production schedules, coordinate resources and meet operational targets.
• Ensure compliance with established production processes and quality standards.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
• Oversee warehouse operations, stock movement and storage processes.
• Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, work‑in‑progress and finished goods.
• Conduct periodic stock counts and inventory reconciliations.
• Review cutting lists, material requirements and production specifications.
• Monitor material consumption, optimise utilisation and prevent shortages or excess.
• Collaborate with procurement and production teams to maintain adequate stock levels.
• Supervise production staff, warehouse personnel and other operational team members.
• Monitor employee productivity, provide coaching and ensure adherence to procedures.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement.
• Prepare operational and inventory reports for management.
• Track key operational metrics and recommend improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• HND, Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.
• Proven experience in furniture manufacturing, woodworking, cabinetry, joinery or interior fit‑out environments.
• Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on efficiency and waste reduction.
