OTC Sales Trader – Institutional FX & Payments

About the role

The OTC Sales Trader will originate institutional payment and foreign‑exchange flow across Africa, targeting businesses that need USD, USDT, USDC and local African currencies. You will manage the full commercial cycle from sourcing opportunities to settlement, building long‑term trading relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and onboard businesses with recurring demand for USD, stablecoins and African currencies.
• Quote live market prices using the company’s proprietary pricing engine and execute trades.
• Coordinate settlement across banking and mobile‑money rails, ensuring funding confirmation and risk‑limit compliance.
• Develop and maintain a network of OTC desks, liquidity providers and institutional counterparties.
• Ensure all counterparties complete KYC onboarding and adhere to AML and compliance procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience selling institutional FX, cross‑border payments or stablecoin OTC liquidity.
• Existing relationships with businesses that regularly transact in USD, stablecoins or African currencies.
• Ability to manage the full relationship lifecycle from prospecting to long‑term account growth.
• Strong understanding of regulated environments and compliance requirements.
