About the role
We are seeking a Physics expert to design and solve challenging physics problems that will be used to evaluate large language models. This is a remote, short‑term contract lasting 11 weeks, with an immediate start date.
Key responsibilities
- Design and solve advanced physics problems for LLM evaluation benchmarks.
- Create clear, step‑by‑step solutions with detailed reasoning and visual explanations.
- Collaborate with LLM researchers to define new evaluation benchmarks covering undergraduate to PhD‑level physics.
- Analyze complex physics problems using a logical, structured approach.
Required profile
- Master’s, Ph.D., or currently pursuing a Ph.D./Postdoctoral degree in Physics, Applied Physics, or a related field.
- Strong research, analytical, and creative thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a remote environment.
Required skills
- Proficiency in at least three of the following tools: QuTiP, OQuPy, QuSpin, TenPy, Strawberry Fields, openEMS, ngspice, Quantum ESPRESSO, OpenFOAM, FEniCS/FEniCSx (DOLFINx), WarpX, REBOUND, PYTHIA, Kwant, Elmer FEM, GF180MCU PDK, Sky130 PDK, FreeCAD, Project Chrono, Scilab Xcos, volare, emcee, Icarus Verilog, GTKWave, Verilator, gmsh, pyarmadillo, MeshLab.
