About the role

We are seeking a physics expert to work remotely on a short‑term contract. You will design and solve advanced physics problems that are used to evaluate large language models, providing clear, step‑by‑step solutions and detailed reasoning.

Key responsibilities

Design challenging physics problems for LLM evaluation benchmarks.
Create clear, structured solutions with thorough reasoning.
Collaborate with LLM researchers to develop new evaluation tasks spanning undergraduate to PhD level.
Analyze complex physics problems using logical, systematic approaches.
Explain physics concepts in simple language, supported by visuals where appropriate.

Required profile

Master's, Ph.D., or currently pursuing a Ph.D./Postdoctoral degree in Physics, Applied Physics, or a related field.
Strong research and analytical abilities.
Creative and lateral thinking skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration in a remote work environment.

Required skills

Proficiency in at least three of the following tools: QuTiP, OQuPy, QuSpin, TenPy, Strawberry Fields, openEMS, ngspice, Quantum ESPRESSO, OpenFOAM, FEniCS/FEniCSx (DOLFINx), WarpX, REBOUND, PYTHIA, Kwant, Elmer FEM, GF180MCU PDK, Sky130 PDK, FreeCAD, Project Chrono, Scilab Xcos, volare, emcee, Icarus Verilog, GTKWave, Verilator, gmsh, pyarmadillo, MeshLab.

What we offer

Compensation of $346 per approved task.
Remote work with an 8‑hour daily schedule and a 4‑hour overlap with PST.
11‑week contract with immediate start.
