Plumbing Supervisor – Fire Suppression Systems

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Plumbing Supervisor to lead the installation, repair and maintenance of fire suppression, water distribution and wastewater disposal systems across residential, commercial and industrial facilities in Ghana. The role involves supervising site teams, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards, and coordinating with other trades to meet project schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise installation, repair and maintenance of water, plumbing and heating systems, including fire suppression systems.
• Plan, schedule and assign daily activities for plumbers and maintenance crews.
• Prepare and analyse reports on worker utilization, job time rates and project progress.
• Establish work standards, production control, job priorities and preventive maintenance programs.
• Create plumbing layout sketches and determine material types and quantities.
• Develop time and cost estimates for plumbing jobs and assist in material procurement.
• Oversee the plumbing shop, perform related work and support staff on complex projects.
• Maintain plumbing tools and equipment and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar supervisory plumbing role.
• Journeyman Certification in Plumbing from a recognized institution or equivalent industry qualification.
• Experience with fire suppression systems and large‑scale or high‑security projects (e.g., US Embassy facilities) is highly desirable.
• Ability to read and produce technical drawings and to estimate material and labour requirements.
