Production Manager

About the role

The Production Manager will lead the planning and execution of manufacturing activities at Nexans Kabelmetal Ghana’s facility in the Tema Heavy Industrial Area. This role ensures that production aligns with the company’s core objectives of safety, quality, quantity, cost efficiency, and on‑time delivery. The manager works closely with the operations team to translate strategic goals into daily production activities.

Key responsibilities

• Design and continuously monitor detailed production plans to meet output targets.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to ensure adherence to safety standards throughout the manufacturing process.
• Maintain product quality by overseeing process controls and corrective actions.
• Control production costs by optimizing resource utilization and minimizing waste.
• Guarantee timely delivery of finished cables by managing schedules and addressing bottlenecks.
• Track production performance against key indicators and adjust plans as needed.
• Ensure production quantity meets forecasted demand.
• Monitor cost performance and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
