Production Technician I - Offshore

About the role

CB&I Asset Solutions is hiring a Production Technician I for an offshore post based in Accra, working rotating shifts. The technician operates plant process and utility systems safely and in line with procedures, O&M contractor requirements and local regulations. The company supports flexible working requests and uses a hybrid approach for most office-based roles, asking employees to be in the office at least three days per week.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate routine maintenance by isolating and reinstating equipment, liaising with the CRO on start-up, operation, monitoring and shut-down of process and utility systems
• Monitor the correct function of process equipment and instrumentation, and report deficiencies to the Production Supervisor or Production Lead
• Adjust chemical injection pumps to optimal, cost-effective injection rates and record plant readings accurately
• Ensure proper verbal and written handovers during shift changes and end of trip
• Provide Control Room Operations support as directed by the Production Supervisor
• Apply mechanical isolations according to the electronic permit-to-work system and perform first-line maintenance in line with the maintenance management system
• Carry out housekeeping and any other duties assigned by the Production Supervisor

Required profile

• BSc. / B.Tech in Petroleum, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
• 2 years' experience or more in hydrocarbon processing systems and utilities, or industrial processing
• Proven experience and/or qualification to N/SVQ Hydrocarbon Processing Level 2 or similar
• Ability to work independently and good interpersonal skills
