Professor (Engineering Faculty)

About the role

The Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU) seeks a distinguished academic to join its Faculty of Engineering as a Professor. The successful candidate will lead teaching, research and community service within one of the engineering departments, contributing to the university’s technology‑focused mission.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses and supervise student projects.
• Develop and lead research programmes aligned with the department’s focus.
• Provide academic mentorship to junior faculty and supervise graduate theses.
• Engage in community outreach and professional service activities.
• Participate in faculty development, curriculum review and university governance.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in a relevant engineering, computer science, mathematics or statistics discipline.
• Current appointment as Professor at a recognized university, or at least three years as Associate Professor with a minimum of fifteen peer‑reviewed journal publications.
• Demonstrated record of teaching excellence and research leadership.
• Three referees with full contact details.
