Professor – Multiple Engineering & Science Disciplines

About the role

Koforidua Technical University is seeking highly qualified scholars to join its faculty as Professors across a range of engineering, science, health, business and technology disciplines. The successful candidates will contribute to teaching, research and industry collaboration at a leading Ghanaian university.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the assigned specialization.
• Lead and supervise research projects, securing external funding where possible.
• Publish scholarly articles in reputable peer‑reviewed journals.
• Engage with industry partners for technology transfer and applied innovation.
• Participate in curriculum development, departmental committees and university governance.

Required profile

• Recognised national and international reputation as a teacher, scholar and innovator.
• Current or previous appointment as Professor in a recognised public or accredited private tertiary institution.
• PhD in the relevant field of specialization.
• At least ten peer‑reviewed publications since promotion to Associate Professor.
• Evidence of continuous research activity and industry engagement.

Required skills

• Expertise in one or more of the listed specializations (e.g., Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Power Systems, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Food Processing, Radiography, Estate Management, Quantity Surveying, Sustainable Water Management, Digital Marketing, Business Analytics).
• Strong research methodology and academic writing skills.
• Ability to mentor graduate students and junior faculty.
