Program Manager - Solar Projects

About the role

The Program Manager will lead the end‑to‑end incubation of new energy initiatives, from validating business cases to managing commercial rollout. You will work on the ground to ensure product‑market fit before scaling ventures across target markets in Ghana.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and validate target groups and market segments within the distributed energy space.
• Build and present robust financial and operational business cases for new energy products or services.
• Collaborate with technical teams to define and refine products based on local market feedback.
• Lead pilot launches, customer acquisition, and early‑stage revenue management.
• Plan, implement, and monitor activities to meet milestones in assigned markets.
• Coordinate with regulatory bodies, partners, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and achieve shared goals.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in distributed energy systems such as solar, mini‑grids, or energy storage.
• Proven track record in companies with a strong energy footprint.
• Prior experience building a business line from scratch, including market entry and product‑market fit.
• Experience working in structured, process‑driven environments within high‑growth African markets.
