Programs Director

About the role

The Programs Director leads the design, implementation and monitoring of Right To Play’s multi‑donor, multi‑sector programmes in Ghana. Reporting to the Country Director and technically to the Global Director of Program Development, the role ensures that projects align with the organisation’s strategic vision and deliver measurable impact for children and youth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and oversee programme strategies, operational plans and budgets in line with the Country Strategic Plan.
• Ensure compliance with donor requirements, legislation and professional standards.
• Coordinate advocacy efforts with the Country Director to influence policies affecting children’s rights.
• Support resource mobilisation by identifying funding opportunities and contributing to proposal development.
• Lead a multidisciplinary programme team, fostering collaboration and capacity building.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing complex, multi‑donor programmes in the development sector.
• Strong understanding of child protection, education and health interventions.
• Excellent analytical, planning and reporting skills.
• Ability to work effectively with government, NGOs and donor partners.
