Project Manager – Field Support Services (FSSP)

About the role

The Field Support Services Project (FSSP) in Ghana needs a dedicated Project Manager to oversee administrative, logistical and financial services that support Canada’s international assistance. Reporting to the Director of International Services, you will coordinate with DFATD and a wide range of stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Formulate and manage project plans, define deliverables and set key milestones in collaboration with DFATD.
• Develop project control and reporting procedures, monitor progress and adjust operational plans as needed.
• Maintain risk and issue registers, conduct ongoing risk management and escalate critical issues to DFATD.
• Plan, coordinate and conduct stakeholder engagement activities with government, civil society, donors and private sector partners.
• Organise day‑to‑day activities of project personnel, subcontractors and support providers.
• Lead preparation, coordination and timely submission of project documentation, reports and work plans to meet DFATD accountability and audit requirements.
• Provide weekly verbal or written updates to the Technical Authority and other relevant parties.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong ability to develop and follow project control, reporting and risk‑management processes.
• Excellent coordination skills for planning meetings, facilitating discussions and recording outcomes.
• Capacity to oversee administrative, logistical and financial aspects of a development project.
