Quality Assurance Engineer

About the role

The Quality Assurance Engineer will ensure the quality, reliability, security, and performance of our digital financial products. Working closely with developers, product managers and DevOps, you will identify defects, improve product quality and help deliver a seamless experience across web, mobile and backend services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, document and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases and test scripts based on business and technical requirements.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, system, smoke, sanity and user‑acceptance testing.
• Identify, log and track defects using defect‑management tools and verify fixes before release.
• Design, implement and maintain automated testing frameworks for web, mobile and API applications.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and continuously improve coverage.
• Test RESTful APIs, micro‑services, database integrity and third‑party integrations such as payment gateways.
• Participate in performance, load and stress testing and collaborate with security teams on vulnerability testing.
• Support regulatory compliance testing for Bank of Ghana, AML, PCI‑DSS and data‑protection requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience with a wide range of testing types (functional, integration, regression, UAT, performance, security).
• Familiarity with test automation concepts and CI/CD integration.
• Ability to analyse root causes, document defects and work collaboratively with development teams.
