Reach Stacker Operator – Container Handling (4 Openings)

About the role

The Ghana Railway Development Authority is hiring four Reach Stacker Operators to support container handling at its freight terminals and yards in Tema. Operators will work on a rotating shift schedule, ensuring efficient loading, unloading and stacking of containers from trains and trucks while maintaining safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Load, unload and stack containers from trains and trucks within designated yard areas.
• Conduct daily inspections of reach stacker equipment, report any faults and maintain activity logs.
• Coordinate with yard supervisors to optimise container flow and yard space utilisation.
• Ensure all lifting operations comply with safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of container‑handling activities for reporting purposes.

Required profile

• Valid reach stacker operator certification.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in port, inland container depot (ICD) or rail yard operations.
• Strong understanding of heavy‑lifting safety protocols.
• Good coordination and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
