About the role
The Ghana Railway Development Authority is hiring four Reach Stacker Operators to support container handling at its freight terminals and yards in Tema. Operators will work on a rotating shift schedule, ensuring efficient loading, unloading and stacking of containers from trains and trucks while maintaining safety standards.
Key responsibilities
- Load, unload and stack containers from trains and trucks within designated yard areas.
- Conduct daily inspections of reach stacker equipment, report any faults and maintain activity logs.
- Coordinate with yard supervisors to optimise container flow and yard space utilisation.
- Ensure all lifting operations comply with safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of container‑handling activities for reporting purposes.
Required profile
- Valid reach stacker operator certification.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in port, inland container depot (ICD) or rail yard operations.
- Strong understanding of heavy‑lifting safety protocols.
- Good coordination and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
