Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Lab

About the role

The Bank Hospital in Accra is preparing to open its Cardiac Cath Lab and seeks a dynamic, patient‑focused Registered Nurse to support invasive and non‑invasive cardiac procedures. The role involves direct patient care, equipment preparation, and collaboration with physicians to ensure safe and efficient procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, clean and set up the cath lab before, between and after cases, ensuring all equipment and supplies are ready.
• Assist physicians with patient positioning, draping, and procedural support while monitoring vital signs.
• Perform head‑to‑toe assessments, manage IVs, administer medications, contrast agents and parenteral fluids according to protocol.
• Document patient data (heart rate, blood pressure, O₂ saturation, ECG, hemodynamic pressures) throughout procedures.
• Admit, recover and discharge patients, providing post‑procedure follow‑up and education.
• Maintain equipment inventories, perform routine checks, and ensure compliance with aseptic techniques.

Required profile

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwife Council of Ghana.
• Valid BLS certification; ACLS certification preferred.
• Minimum one (1) year experience working in a Cardiac Cath Lab.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• Basic computer literacy.
