Registrar – Chief Operating Officer at University

About the role

The Registrar serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Koforidua Technical University, reporting directly to the Vice Chancellor. This senior executive is responsible for the day‑to‑day administration of the university and acts as Secretary to the Council, Boards, and statutory committees.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all operational functions of the university, ensuring efficient service delivery.
• Provide strategic advice and briefings to the Vice Chancellor.
• Serve as Secretary to the University Council and all statutory committees.
• Lead and manage administrative departments, fostering collaboration across units.
• Represent the university in internal and external stakeholder engagements.

Required profile

• Master’s degree, preferably in Administration, Management or a related field.
• Minimum six (6) years of experience as Deputy Registrar or in a comparable senior administrative role within a university or similar institution.
• Deep understanding of Ghana’s higher‑education landscape.
• Demonstrated integrity, public morality, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to interact with a wide range of internal and external publics.

Required skills

• Information Communication and Technology (ICT) knowledge.
