Registrar

About the role

The Registrar serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Koforidua Technical University, reporting directly to the Vice‑Chancellor. This senior executive is responsible for the day‑to‑day administration of the university and acts as Secretary to the Council, Boards and Statutory Committees.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all operational and administrative functions across the university.
• Serve as Secretary to the University Council and all statutory committees, preparing minutes and ensuring compliance.
• Provide strategic advice and briefings to the Vice‑Chancellor on institutional matters.
• Lead and manage senior administrative staff, fostering effective service delivery.
• Coordinate internal and external communications with stakeholders, including government bodies and industry partners.

Required profile

• Minimum Master’s degree, preferably in Administration, Management or a related field.
• At least six (6) years of experience as Deputy Registrar or in a comparable senior administrative role within a university or similar institution.
• Strong understanding of the higher‑education landscape in Ghana.
• Demonstrated public morality, integrity and high ethical standards.
• Excellent managerial, communication and interpersonal abilities.
