Registrar

About the role

The Registrar serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Koforidua Technical University, reporting directly to the Vice‑Chancellor. This senior executive is responsible for the day‑to‑day administration of the university and acts as Secretary to the Council, Boards and statutory committees.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all operational and administrative functions across the university.
• Provide strategic advice and briefings to the Vice‑Chancellor.
• Serve as Secretary to the University Council and all statutory committees.
• Lead and manage administrative staff to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Coordinate internal and external communications with stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum Master’s degree, preferably in Administration, Management or a related field.
• At least six (6) years of experience as a Deputy Registrar or in a comparable senior administrative role within a university or similar institution.
• Strong understanding of Ghana’s higher‑education landscape.
• Demonstrated integrity, public morality and professional ethics.
• Proven ability to engage with a wide range of internal and external publics.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Information Communication and Technology (ICT) systems.
