Remote Chemical Engineer – Short‑Term Contract

About the role

This is a short‑term (11‑week) remote contract for a Chemistry Expert who will solve advanced, postgraduate‑level chemistry problems and support AI model fine‑tuning. The role requires 40 hours per week with a 4‑hour overlap with Pacific Standard Time.

Key responsibilities

• Solve complex problems in organic reaction mechanisms, chemical equilibrium, stoichiometry, thermodynamics, and electrochemistry.
• Create detailed textual, visual, and diagrammatic explanations, including annotated chemical structures and energy diagrams.
• Work with chemistry content that includes text, images, equations, and visual representations.
• Provide constructive feedback and detailed annotations on chemistry‑related tasks.
• Contribute analytical reasoning to AI model fine‑tuning projects.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or Ph.D. (or currently pursuing) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a related field.
• Proficiency with at least three of the listed computational chemistry tools.
• Strong research, analytical, and structured communication skills for remote collaboration.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently, and able to include a LinkedIn profile in the resume.
• Willingness to undergo a background check after onboarding.
