Remote Chemistry Expert – Task‑Based Contract

About the role

We are looking for a highly qualified Chemistry Expert to work remotely on advanced, postgraduate‑level chemistry problems. The position is a short‑term, task‑based contract lasting 11 weeks, with a compensation of $346 per approved task.

Key responsibilities

• Solve complex chemistry questions covering organic reaction mechanisms, chemical equilibrium, stoichiometry, thermodynamics, electrochemistry, and more.
• Create detailed, visual explanations using text, diagrams, chemical equations, and annotated structures.
• Provide constructive feedback and thorough annotations on chemistry‑related assignments.
• Contribute analytical reasoning to AI model fine‑tuning projects.
• Maintain a 40‑hour work week with a required 4‑hour overlap with Pacific Standard Time.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or Ph.D. (or currently pursuing) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a related discipline.
• Strong research, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written communication, capable of explaining concepts in simple language with visual aids.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently in a remote environment.
• LinkedIn profile included in the resume; background check required after onboarding.

Required skills

• Proficiency with at least three of the following tools: GROMACS, LAMMPS, Psi4, PySCF, xtb, crest, Multiwfn, Cantera, CoolProp, NWChem, PyBaMM, RDKit, Open Babel.
