Remote Ruby Software Engineer – AI Dataset Project

About the role

We are looking for a remote Ruby Software Engineer to help build and evaluate large‑language‑model (LLM) datasets that simulate real‑world software engineering tasks. You will work closely with AI researchers and contribute to a fast‑growing AI company, shaping how LLMs interact with production code.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and triage GitHub issues from trending open‑source libraries.
• Set up and configure code repositories, including Dockerization and environment provisioning.
• Evaluate unit‑test coverage and overall code quality.
• Modify and run codebases locally to assess LLM performance in bug‑fixing scenarios.
• Collaborate with researchers to select challenging repositories and issues for LLM evaluation.
• Optionally lead a small team of junior engineers on project tasks.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Tech‑lead level competence with complex codebases.
• Comfortable working independently in a fully remote setting.

Required skills

• Ruby programming language.
• Proficiency with Git version control.
• Experience with Docker and container‑based development environments.
