Sales & Marketing Manager – Territory & Channel Development

About the role

The Sales & Marketing Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth across key territories in Ghana, including Greater Accra, Kumasi and Takoradi. Reporting to senior management, the role combines direct sales, distributor management and brand activation to meet the company’s commercial objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Own and deliver sales targets for the assigned territory, developing monthly, quarterly and annual sales plans aligned with business goals.
• Build, manage and expand relationships with distributors, wholesalers and modern trade accounts, ensuring optimal product availability and visibility.
• Lead, coach and motivate a team of Sales Representatives and Distributor Sales Representatives, setting clear KPIs and providing field coaching.
• Design and optimise Route‑to‑Market strategies to improve coverage, increase numeric and weighted distribution and enhance last‑mile execution.
• Execute in‑store brand activation, consumer promotions and trade marketing initiatives while monitoring competitor activity.
• Analyse sell‑in and sell‑out data, prepare forecasts, manage inventory levels and produce regular performance reports.

Required profile

• Mid‑level professional with at least 24 months of sales or sales‑and‑marketing experience, preferably in manufacturing or biotech.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a territory‑focused role.
• Experience managing distributor networks and modern trade channels.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret sales data and generate actionable insights.
