Senior Accounting Assistant

About the role

The University is looking for a dynamic, self‑motivated Senior Accounting Assistant to join its finance team. This position requires sound judgement, a high sense of responsibility, initiative and discretion.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare statements of accounts and related financial reports.
• Compile and reconcile bank statements.
• Check and verify current accounts for accuracy.
• Handle relevant correspondence related to accounting matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, or HND in Accountancy.
• Minimum of four (4) years experience as an Accounting Assistant in a university or comparable institution, or two (2) years with a professional qualification (CA, CIMA, ACCA, etc.).
• Completed national service.
