Senior Accounts Officer – Receivables

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accounts Officer – Receivables to lead the accounts receivable function within our steel manufacturing operations. You will manage customer accounts, monitor credit limits, and ensure timely collections to support healthy cash flow.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full accounts receivable cycle: invoicing, collections, receipt application, and reconciliation.
• Generate accurate invoices for steel products and related services.
• Monitor outstanding balances, follow up on overdue accounts, and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Prepare periodic customer statements and reconcile accounts.
• Control credit limits, review credit exposure, and recommend collection strategies.
• Produce weekly and monthly aging reports and analyze collection performance.
• Support cash‑flow planning with receivables projections.
• Reconcile customer accounts, bank receipts, and sales records in the ERP system.
• Assist with month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end closing activities and audits.
• Collaborate with Sales, Logistics, Production, and Customer Service to resolve invoicing and collection issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in accounts receivable, credit control, or finance, preferably in manufacturing.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CA, CPA or CIMA is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using ERP/accounting systems.
