Senior Assistant Development Officer

About the role

The University seeks a dynamic, self‑motivated professional to support the Director of Works and Physical Development. This senior position involves overseeing the administration of the Works and Physical Development Office in line with the Technical Universities Act 2016 and related statutes.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Director in managing all functions of the Works and Physical Development Office.
• Ensure compliance with the Technical Universities Act 2016 (Act 922) and university statutes.
• Apply sound judgement, initiative, resourcefulness, precision and professionalism in daily tasks.
• Coordinate and monitor development projects within the university.

Required profile

• Research Master’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Architecture or Civil Engineering plus a relevant professional qualification.
• Minimum six (6) years experience as an Assistant Development Officer or in a comparable grade within a university or similar institution.
• Demonstrated ability to produce scholarly papers and publications for external assessment.

Required skills

• Computer literacy.
• Knowledge of quantity surveying principles.
• Understanding of architectural and civil engineering concepts.
