Forward Deployment Technician - Regional Contractor

About the role

AASS is recruiting regional contractors to install, configure, test and hand over its security and automation solutions at customer sites across Ghana. The engagement is as an independent contractor paid per approved assignment, with travel and fuel costs reimbursed separately. Coverage aims for at least one approved technician per region, with no fixed cap.

Key responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites within your assigned region using your own car.
• Install and configure GPS vehicle tracking devices, including wiring and testing.
• Install CCTV and AI CCTV equipment, camera mounts, network cabling, PoE switches and edge hubs where assigned.
• Deploy water-level monitoring, reservoir refill automation, pump relays and other smart water or irrigation controls.
• Support smart-home, building-automation and access-control deployments where qualified and trained.
• Check site conditions against the job brief, follow installation instructions and safety practices, verify system operation and obtain customer sign-off.
• Report completion evidence, photos, test results and travel records to the Operations & Fulfilment Coordinator.

Required profile

• Own a car suitable for client visits and hold a valid driving licence.
• Be based in Ghana and willing to travel across your assigned region.
• Demonstrated practical ability in installation, wiring, electronics, auto-electrical work, networking, security or automation; fresh graduates are also welcome.
• Willingness to complete technical onboarding, interviews and hands-on assessments.

Required skills

• Safe use of hand tools, basic wiring, installation and fault-finding.
• Configuring and troubleshooting equipment with a smartphone or computer.
• Professional communication with customers and accurate documentation of field work.

What we offer

• Pay per job: vehicle GPS tracker installation GHC 100 to 400 per vehicle, CCTV camera installation GHC 210 per camera, water automation up to GHC 250 per unit.
• Reimbursement of approved fuel and transport costs.
• Referral commission of 3% to 5% on net profit for qualifying referred customers.
