Senior Business Development Manager – West Africa

About the role

Enterprise Singapore is seeking a (Senior) Business Development Manager to join its Accra Overseas Centre. The role supports the Regional Director in expanding Singaporean companies’ presence across West and Central Africa, focusing on key markets such as Ghana, Nigeria, Ivory Coast and Senegal.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and facilitate business opportunities for Singapore companies in target African markets.
• Monitor the business environment and produce market intelligence, sector research and investment analyses.
• Develop and maintain a pipeline of opportunities by tracking growth areas and emerging trends.
• Plan, organise and execute marketing trips, business missions and related activities to support market entry and expansion.
• Prepare market reports and insights to help Singapore firms understand the regional operating landscape.
• Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with government agencies, local partners and industry stakeholders.
• Contribute to engagement strategies that enhance collaboration and improve market access.
• Travel frequently across West and Central Africa for stakeholder engagement and business development activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development, market intelligence or strategic partnership roles, preferably in an international or government‑linked setting.
• Strong understanding of the economic and commercial landscape of West and Central Africa.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the region.
• Ability to work independently while supporting regional leadership.
