Senior Internal Audit Assistant

About the role

The Ghana National Association of Teachers is looking for a Senior Internal Audit Assistant to strengthen its internal audit function. The role involves planning, executing, and reporting on audits to ensure compliance with professional standards and organisational policies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop audit plans and risk‑based audit programmes.
• Conduct fieldwork, gather evidence, and evaluate internal controls.
• Prepare clear audit reports with findings and recommendations.
• Monitor implementation of corrective actions and follow‑up on audit issues.
• Maintain accurate audit documentation and workpapers.
• Collaborate with management and other stakeholders to improve processes.

Required profile

• Professional teacher not below the rank of Assistant Director 1.
• Minimum 4 years experience at the Assistant Director 1 rank by the time of appointment.
• At least 3 years experience as a Senior Auditing Assistant.
• First‑degree from a recognised university in a relevant field.
• Age between 25 and 35 years at appointment.
• In‑depth knowledge of accounting and auditing practice.
• Detail‑oriented with strong communication skills.
• High ethical standards, confidentiality, and integrity.
