Senior Manager, Forensic Investigations

About the role

The Senior Manager, Forensic Investigations leads high‑risk investigations into fraud, bribery, corruption and serious misconduct for MTN Ghana. The role ensures investigations are legally compliant, methodologically rigorous and produce admissible evidence for disciplinary, civil or criminal actions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee complex investigations involving senior management, material financial loss, reputational or regulatory exposure, and mobile‑money fraud.
• Assign investigation teams, define terms of reference, develop investigation plans and allocate resources.
• Review investigation reports for factual accuracy, root‑cause analysis and actionable recommendations before submission to senior leadership.
• Ensure all investigations follow the ACFE Code of Professional Ethics, MTN’s Fraud Risk Management Framework and legal standards for evidence admissibility.
• Maintain chain‑of‑custody protocols for digital and physical evidence and implement quality‑assurance procedures aligned with ISO/IEC 17025 where applicable.
• Stay current with emerging forensic techniques, case law and regulatory changes; promote continuous professional development for the team.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading high‑risk forensic investigations in a large, regulated organization.
• Strong knowledge of fraud risk management, legal evidence standards and forensic best practices.
• Familiarity with ACFE ethical standards, MTN’s internal frameworks and ISO/IEC 17025 principles.
• Professional certifications such as CFE, CCE or EnCE are highly desirable.
