Senior Merchandiser

About the role

The Senior Merchandiser will manage assigned customer accounts from product development and costing through bulk production to final shipment. Reporting to the Director of Merchandising, Sourcing & Logistics, the role ensures timely delivery, cost control, and quality compliance for large‑scale US and European brands.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary merchandising contact for customers, handling approvals, samples, and daily order communications.
• Review tech packs, coordinate fabric and trim development, obtain competitive pricing, and prepare accurate garment costing.
• Manage orders in the ERP system from PO receipt to shipment, maintaining trackers and monitoring critical‑path milestones.
• Follow up production progress, resolve quality or delivery issues, and coordinate with planning, QA, and logistics teams.
• Oversee raw‑material sourcing, monitor fabric bookings, lab dips, and address shortages or excess inventory.
• Coordinate logistics, ensure shipping documents are prepared, and manage vessel schedules and potential delays.
• Maintain accurate ERP data, analyse order information for risks, and produce regular reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, fashion, textiles, merchandising, supply chain or a related field.
• 5‑8 years of garment merchandising experience in an export‑oriented manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record managing international customer accounts across the full order lifecycle.
• Strong analytical abilities, advanced Excel skills, and a data‑driven approach to flag delivery and cost variances.
• Commercial mindset with experience negotiating margins and cost drivers.
