Senior Network Support Officer

About the role

The Senior Network Support Officer will lead the design, implementation and maintenance of Ecobank Group’s core and affiliate networks. Reporting to the Head of the Network Operations Centre, you will ensure 24/7 availability of WAN/LAN, cloud and security services across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Level 1‑3 support for core network infrastructure and centralized applications.
• Configure, maintain and troubleshoot firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Checkpoint, FortiGate) and routing/switching equipment (Cisco routers, switches, ACI).
• Perform network maintenance, OS upgrades, security patches and hot‑fixes.
• Implement and test disaster‑recovery procedures and oversee scheduled maintenance.
• Manage firewall policies, remote access, S2S VPNs and ensure compliance with the Group hardening standard.
• Provision and monitor cloud network resources, configure virtual networks and enforce security controls.
• Document network changes and support network projects and migrations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in network operations within a large, multi‑site environment.
• Strong understanding of WAN/LAN routing, switching and security best practices.
• Hands‑on expertise with firewall and routing platforms.
• Ability to work in a 24/7 support model and coordinate with monitoring teams.
