Senior Product Designer (Part-Time)

About the role

Adaptive Computer Solutions Limited, a technology company delivering end-to-end software development solutions across Africa, is hiring a part-time Senior Product Designer. You will lead the design of digital products from discovery through delivery, working closely with product managers, engineers and business stakeholders on-site in Legon.

Key responsibilities

• Turn complex requirements into intuitive user experiences, creating user flows, wireframes and high-fidelity visual designs for web and mobile interfaces.
• Conduct and synthesize user research, and facilitate design thinking workshops.
• Iterate on concepts based on data, feedback and usability testing.
• Help define design standards and mentor less experienced designers.
• Ensure design decisions align with business goals and user needs.

Required profile

• Strong product design experience, including end-to-end ownership of features and products.
• Experience working with cross-functional product and engineering teams, preferably in software or tech environments.
• Relevant degree or equivalent practical experience in Product Design, HCI, Interaction Design or a related field.
• Experience designing for African or emerging markets and familiarity with accessibility and inclusive design are advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency in visual design for digital interfaces, with attention to layout, typography and consistent design systems.
• Design Thinking expertise, including problem framing, ideation and workshop facilitation.
• User research and UX research, including planning studies, interviews and usability tests.
• Comfort with common design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch or Adobe XD.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to present and defend design decisions to stakeholders.
