Senior Production Operator

About the role

The Senior Production Operator ensures the effective functioning of all equipment to achieve optimum production recovery at the Iduapriem Gold Mine in Ghana.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct pre‑start checks on equipment at the beginning of each shift and report defects or deviations to the supervisor.
• Carry out timely steel ball charging into mills to support effective milling and improved throughput.
• Support housekeeping activities including cleaning used liners and lifters after mill relining, removing scraps, and emptying dustbins in the CIL plant.
• Operate and control thickeners and support the correct operation of the flocculants mixing plant in coordination with control room operators.
• Ensure flocculant powder availability and maintain filled mixing hoppers for continuous plant operation.
• Apply safe work procedures and task procedures to ensure safe, efficient circuit control and environmental compliance, and report accidents, incidents, and near misses.

Required profile

• HND / GCE O level / GCE A level / SSCE / Middle School Leaving Certificate / JHS / Mechanical Engineering Technician II / Electrical & Electronic Technician II, NVTI, City & Guilds or equivalent from a reputable institution.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• 1‑3 years working experience in a gold processing plant.
