Senior Specialist, Enterprise Converged Services (IoT) Product

About the role

MTN Ghana is looking for a Senior Specialist for its Enterprise Converged Services (IoT) product within the Enterprise Products and Marketing department. The role covers the architecture, development and management of scalable, commercially viable ICT and converged IoT solutions for SME, corporate and public sector customers. It reports to the Senior Manager, Enterprise Converged Services.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and develop end-to-end ICT/IoT solution propositions covering device connectivity, edge computing, data ingestion and platform integration, translating customer needs into scalable solutions
• Carry out technical feasibility studies and RFP/RFQ responses, including device architecture sizing, connectivity design, platform selection and commercial modelling
• Maintain the IoT and Converged Services product roadmap from concept and business case through launch, in-life management and rationalization, and drive revenue growth and market penetration
• Identify and develop IoT use cases with ecosystem vendors and OEMs, co-creating solutions for manufacturing, agriculture, utilities, logistics, oil and gas and smart cities
• Deliver product and technology briefings to Sales, Client Success and Marketing, and support customer engagements
• Support solution delivery from concept through implementation and post-implementation support

Required profile

• First degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related technical discipline
• AWS IoT Specialty or Microsoft Certified: Azure IoT Developer Specialty Architect certification, with at least one active certification; additional certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Security+ or ITIL Foundation are advantageous
• At least three years of total experience in ICT/IoT solutions, enterprise technology or a related field, including at least three years in a supervisory role

Required skills

• IoT solution architecture, sensor and device integration, communication protocols and edge-to-cloud data pipelines
• RFP/RFQ responses, solution sizing and commercial modelling
• Enterprise B2B sales cycles, solution selling, tender processes and contract structures
• Competitive intelligence on IoT platforms, 5G NTN, LPWAN and emerging technologies
